My client wanted a color piece that would feature an old water pump. Growing up, her parents had a similar one in their garden with flowers growing around it. Using elements in her yard (including the goldfinches and the irises), I melded together this piece.

Now life is imitating art: she liked the idea so much, she transplanted the irises to grow up around the pump.
